Grant Awards
Each year, the Town Council awards Grants to various organisations whose work is considered to benefit the community. In April 2011, 25 different organisations were awarded grants ranging from £50 - £500. Some 38 local organisations received a grant in April 2012.
The Town Council delights in being able to support a variety of charitable and voluntary organisations groups that are working to make Launceston a more interesting and dynamic community - local sports groups also benefit from the grants. Other groups receiving grants range from choral societies and choirs to local churches.
The next round of Grant Application submissions will take place this Summer (for payment in April 2013) and a Grant Application Form can be downloaded here:

It can also be obtained from the Town Council offices in the Town Hall. To be eligible, the main requirement is for your organisation to demonstrate how local people in Launceston will benefit, so that the grant given by the Council benefits the local community. You do not need to be a Registered Charity.
