PRESENT:  Cllrs Miss Davey (Chairman), Gordon (Deputy Mayor), Keighley, J Harris, O’Brien and Tremain (Mayor).  Jake Jackson (Curator), Arthur Wills (Archivist), Wendy Baughan (Stewards’ Representative),  Rita Skinner (Treasurer/Secretary).

1. Apologies for absence
Apologies were received from Cllr Facks-Martin and Mrs Bunbury (Chairman, Friends of Lawrence House).

2. Minutes of the last meeting
The minutes of the meeting held on 5 December 2011 were agreed as a true record and signed by the Chairman.

3. Treasurer’s Report
The income and expenditure account to 31 January 2012 had been circulated with the agenda.   A copy of the account to 29 February was circulated at the meeting.  It was resolved to approve the account to date.

4. Curator’s Report
Mr Jackson’s report is attached to these minutes.    Mr Jackson gave a complete list of items bequested by Miss Rendell to the Secrretary for filing.  He said that some items would have to be sold, and some kept for display.  The terms of the will did not prevent this.  The Chairman would get in touch with Bonhams at Liskeard for an auction valuation of jewellery.   It was agreed that any income from the sale would be used to purchase an item in memory of Miss Rendell.

It was agreed that an honorarium of £500 could be paid to the person undertaking the Virtual Visitor Folder work.  £250 would be paid now and £250 on completion of the project.

Mr Frain and Mr Martin had undertaken some interior decoration.

5. Items of expenditure
The Curator had a number of items of expenditure noted in his report under item 6.  It was resolved to approve all the expenditure.

6. Archivist’s Report
Mr Wills’ report is attached to these minutes.   The Curator thanked Mr Wills for his assistance with the forthcoming Shopping in Launceston exhibition.

7. Friends of Lawrence House
The report of the Chairman of the Friends of Lawrence House is attached to these minutes.

8. Britain Australia Society
Details had been finalized for the lunch on 15 May.  There would be a reception at the Town Hall, talks and lunch with wine.  The cost would be £24 per person.

9. Stewards’ Representative
As the Museum had been closed there was no report from Mrs Baughton.

10. Diamond Jubilee
Arrangements were in hand for a celebratory day on Saturday 2 June, in partnership with the Charles Causley Festival.

11. Disabled access/railings
